Before he became a rock icon, Billy Idol took his first steps as a solo artist with Don't Stop, his debut solo release originally issued in 1981 on Chrysalis Records. The EP marked a pivotal moment in Idol's career, building anticipation for what would become a massively successful self-titled debut album the following year.

Don't Stop features two tracks that would go on to define Idol's early legacy: a cover of Tommy James and the Shondells' classic "Mony Mony" and the electrifying "Dancing With Myself," originally recorded with his former band Generation X.
