The Brey Krause Model R-1180 Harness Bar is designed for the 2015 and later S550-chassis Ford Mustang. The harness bar properly locates and supports racing shoulder harnesses relative to the driver and helps to protect the driver's shoulders and spine in the event of an accident. The harness guides also prevent excessive shifting and fatigue of the driver during the high G loads of cornering and braking. Brey Krause bars are easy to install and remove, and will get you ready for the track in just a few hours! Includes clip-in mounting points for the lap belts.

Strength requirements for harness mounts are considerably greater than those for harness guide bars since they must support the entire load applied to the belts. A mount really can't be relied on unless it has been tested to support the loads required by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The Brey-Krause Harness Mounts support the loads specified by the National Highway Traffic Safety Admin. DOT for upper torso restraints in all automobiles. Tensile tests performed by an independent lab.

Note: Installation requires a small cut to be made on a replaceable interior panel. Replacement panels can be ordered from your Ford Dealer if you do not want to cut the original panels (Part Numbers FR3Z6331013AA & FR3Z6331012AA).
